For my next Mike’s Memory Monday Minutes I chose a short entry from December 2, 1985.
My younger brothers and I loved the Rocky movies so we boxed a bunch when we were younger. I hated when I got hit in the nose. Always made my eyes water and the pain sucked. Missing recess while young is horrible, even if school was an hour late. Even now, if someone came up to me while I was working and told me it was recess time, I’d totally get stoked and hop out of my work chair. Good times were had as a kid watching the boob tube. Notice how I had at least two sentences this time.
Mike, these posts are hilarious. Keep them coming. How many old journals do you have? What a gold mine! Such insight into your younger self. I was always burning mine or tearing them up. Too bad.
I have about one hundred pages from December of 1985 to January of 1992. I wrote another journal from 1992-1994 but I can’t find it. Super bummer it had some good stuff in it. I started the 4M Mike’s Memory Monday Minutes because of you. Thanks Donna
